Sampel yang sudah dikeringkan dan dihaluskan sebanyak 2 Kg dimaserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut metanol distilasi selama 24 jam. Maserasi dilakukan dengan dua kali pengulangan. Setelah itu pelarut disaring dan diuapkan dengan rotary evaporator pada suhu 600C hingga diperoleh ekstrak pekat.
