Sejak tanggal 14 Agustus1950 dinyat

Sejak tanggal 14 Agustus1950 dinyatakan Kotamadya Pasuruan sebagai daerah otonom yang terdiri dari desa dalam 1 kecamatan. Pada tanggal 21 Desember 1982 Kotamadya Pasuruan diperluas menjadi 3 kecamatan dengan 19 kelurahan dan 15 desa. Pada tanggal 12 Januari terjadi perubahan status desa menjadi kelurahan berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Nomor 10 tahun 2002, dengan demikian wilayah Kota Pasuruan terbagi menjadi 34 kelurahan. Berdasarkan UU no.22 tahun 1999 tentang Otonomi Daerah terjadi perubahan nama dari kotamadya menjadi kota maka Kotamadya Pasuruan berubah menjadi Kota Pasuruan.
