Dalam puisi ini Anak-anak tidak merasakan kebahagiaan seperti anak-anak lain. Kondisi social pada masa itu sangat memprihatinkan karena tidak ada yang mempedulikan kebahagiaan anak-anak. Dalam pendekatan mimetic ini, penulis mendeskripsikan tentang kadaan anak-anak dan juga kedaan social yang terjadi pada masa itu.
