Secara garis besar upacara pemakaman terbagi kedalam 2 prosesi, yaitu Prosesi Pemakaman (Rante) dan Pertunjukan Kesenian. Prosesi-prosesi tersebut tidak dilangsungkan secara terpisah, namun saling melengkapi dalam keseluruhan upacara pemakaman.
