Tujuan dari dilaksanakannya perang tomat selain dari yang telah dipaparkan di atas yakni untuk menciptakan budaya gotong royong dan melaksanakan makna istilah Sapitong (Sauyunan, Sapikiran, dan Gotong Royong) karena di dalamnya dibutuhkan adanya kebersamaan, kesamaan pemikiran, dan bentuk kerja sama yang baik. Melalui tradisi perang tomat, perwujudan dari makna Sapitong (sauyunan, Sapikiran dan Gotong Royong) ini dapat divisualisasikan sebagai tujuan untuk disampaikan kepada generasi penerus.
